Lab reports
What was tested, product by product.
For each product we hold the manufacturer's lab report on one of its production lots. This page says what each report covers and what it leaves out.
Reading the table
Four things a lab report can tell you
- StrengthHow much of the main ingredient is in the product, measured against the label.
- IdentityA test that confirms the ingredient is what the label says it is.
- Heavy metalsMeasured amounts of lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury.
- MicrobesCounts of bacteria, yeast and mold, with checks for E. coli and Salmonella.

The limits
What these reports are, and are not
They are the manufacturer’s reports on its own production lots. They are not reports on the container you receive, and most do not name the lab that ran the tests.
Reports differ by product. Some measure the main ingredient against the label. Many test only for heavy metals and microbes. A few list limits with no results. The table above says which is which.
The standard we want every product to meet is a report from a named lab, for the lot you receive, covering strength, identity, heavy metals and microbes. Where a product falls short of that today, this page shows the gap. Our standards
