Our standards
How we choose, check and grade.
Plain answers about where the products come from, what the lab reports cover, and where the limits are.
Where the products are made
Full Measure products are made for us by a contract manufacturer. We do not own a factory, and we do not pretend to. Our job is to choose the formulas, read the paperwork, and show you what we find.
The manufacturer states that its facilities are registered with the FDA and certified for good manufacturing practice, and lists the United States as the country of manufacture for most of the line. What we hold today is the manufacturer’s letter saying so, not the certificates themselves. Ingredients come from the United States and from other countries.
What the lab reports cover
For each product we hold the manufacturer’s lab report on one of its production lots. The reports are not alike. Some measure the main ingredient against the label. Many test only for heavy metals and microbes. A few list limits with no results. They report on the manufacturer’s own lots, not on the container you receive, and most do not name the lab.
We do not round that up. The lab reports page shows, product by product, what was measured and what was not.
The standard we are working to
For every product we want a report that:
- comes from a lab that is named on it;
- is for the lot you receive;
- measures the strength of every ingredient the label counts on;
- confirms the identity of those ingredients;
- gives measured amounts of lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury;
- covers microbes, including E. coli and Salmonella.
Most products do not meet all of that yet. Where one falls short, its page says so.
How we grade the evidence
Before a product goes on sale we read the research on its ingredients at the amounts on its label. Each benefit gets one of three grades: strong, moderate or early. If studies used far more than the product provides, we do not make the claim. See every product’s grades.
What we do not claim
- Our products are not certified by NSF, USP or Informed Sport. If that changes, the certification will be named on the product page with a link to the certifier’s own listing.
- We do not use formulas that are unique to us. They are stock formulas made by our manufacturer.
- Supplements are not medicines. Nothing we sell is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
If something is wrong
If a product arrives damaged, or you think something is off, stop using it and write to support@thefullmeasures.com, with the lot number if your container has one. We replace or refund, and we report serious adverse events to the FDA as the law requires.
