How we write our guides
How our supplement guides are made: the sources we use, how evidence is graded, how AI helps draft them, who checks each page, and who owns us.
Who we are
Full Measure sells supplements. Our guides are written by the company that sells them, and every guide links to our products where we make one. Keep that in mind as you read. The people credited on our pages are its owners. Most pages are credited to the Full Measure editorial team and approved for publication by the owners.
Where the facts come from
Every fact on a guide has a numbered source at the foot of the page. We use, in this order:
- Fact sheets from the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements and NCCIH
- Systematic reviews, meta-analyses and position stands
- Individual randomized controlled trials
- Scientific opinions from the European Food Safety Authority
- For medicines and safety: MedlinePlus, LiverTox, DailyMed and FDA
We do not use brand blogs, our supplier’s marketing, press releases, news articles or AI summaries as sources. Each source is opened and read before it is cited, and the date it was opened is shown beside it.
How we grade the evidence
Every benefit we mention carries one of three grades:
- Strong evidence. Consistent results from meta-analyses or several randomized trials in people.
- Moderate evidence. Human trials that mostly agree but are small, short, funded by industry or mixed; or a well established nutrient function.
- Early evidence. A few small human studies, or mostly animal and lab work. Promising, not proven.
A benefit is described in the words of our ingredient files, word for word, with the amount the studies used. If no benefit passes, the guide says so. See how each of our products rates.
How AI is used
Our guides are drafted with the help of an AI model, working from the sources listed on each page. The draft is then checked by people before it is published. AI does not choose what we claim: a benefit can only appear if it is in our ingredient files, graded and sourced.
Who checks each page
Each page credits an author and an editor. The author reads the page, or the page is credited to the editorial team. The editor checks its facts and amounts against the sources it cites. A page is published only after each owner it credits has approved its exact wording, and any later change needs approval again.
No doctor, pharmacist or dietitian reviews these pages. They are information, not medical advice. Talk to your own doctor or pharmacist about your situation, especially if you take medicine, are pregnant or nursing, or have a medical condition.
Pages about medicines
Pages about a supplement and a medicine are about safety only. They say what is documented, where it comes from, and what to ask your pharmacist. They never say a combination is safe, never give doses around a medicine, and never link to a product. The same goes for pages that answer a safety question, such as pregnancy or a side effect: they say what official sources and published reviews show, never that something is safe, and name who should ask a doctor.
What we will not do
- Publish reviews, ratings or customer numbers that are not real
- Say a product is certified or tested by a body that has not certified or tested it
- Claim a supplement treats, cures or prevents a disease
